I testify with great joy and gratitude to the healing power of Truth and Love which I was privileged to experience over two years ago at the birth of my child.

Twice I had had a miscarriage, and each time the child was lifeless. The second time both the physicians whom I consulted said that I must undergo a severe operation if I wanted to have a child, but I did not follow their advice. When I had recovered, I talked with my relatives, who are Christian Scientists, and they told me to turn to Christian Science, for, since in God all is harmony, there can be nothing imperfect. We asked a practitioner for aid, and she gave me loving help through the declaration of the truth about God and man, and the ever-presence of divine Love. Through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and firmly holding to the thoughts of truth given me, I was able to overcome the ever-recurring thoughts of fear that tempted me, to such a degree that I looked forward to the approaching time in peace. When it came, and the practitioner was called by telephone to give help, everything took place in a short period and practically without pain.

My joy at this wonderful experience is all the greater because at the time one of the physicians who had helped me before was staying in the town and sent word to me that he would place his services at my disposal, for it was out of the question to have the birth without an operation.
