Among the Churches

Current Notes

Lake City Graphic-Republican

Lake City , Minnesota (Society).—The new church home of the local Christian Science Society on North Garden Street was formally dedicated at the regular morning service, Sunday, August 9, 1936. The edifice, which has been extensively remodeled and redecorated, was formerly the property of the First Baptist Church, and was acquired by the Christian Science Society a year ago last spring.

In remodeling the building, the exterior has been painted white, and semicircular concrete steps leading up to the wide oak doors at the main entrance have been constructed at the front of the edifice. The entire interior has been finished in a soft cream color, with doors and other details of the woodwork in walnut.

A small foyer, lighted by a stained glass window, has been constructed at the front of the building, and adequate Sunday school rooms have been provided at the rear of the church.
