A very dear friend of mine lay dying in a hospital. In the midst of the fifth operation her physicians declared the diseased conditions to be so bad that they would not go on with it, adding that nothing further could be done, and that death was inevitable. Her husband then determined to try Christian Science, and called a practitioner. My friend was almost instantaneously healed and left the hospital next day.

This remarkable healing made such a deep impression upon me that I was very anxious to investigate this Science, so I purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began its study. During the years following, as a result of this study, much good has come to me, for which I am very grateful.

Christian Science has taught me to know more about God—who and what God is. It has taught me to know more about myself—who and what I am; that I am not a solitary idea alone or astray in a great unknown universe, but the blessed child of God. God is my Father and my Mother, and all His children are my brothers and sisters.
