Prayer

Dear Father-Mother God, I turn to Thee;
O Thou, the only Mind, teach me to pray;
O Spirit, Soul, direct my path away
From thralls of sense. In deep humility
May I hold fast to Principle, and flee
From thoughts of death to Life. May I obey
The verities of Truth which will allay
All mortal strife—O Love that sets me free.
I now rejoice, O God, that Thou art near;
I feel Thy presence each unfolding hour,
Supporting me where I alone would fall.
Thou liftest me above the mists, the fear
Of sickness, sin, and death—Thy Word the power;
For Thou art the eternal, All-in-all.
