It gives me much pleasure to share the many blessings...
It gives me much pleasure to share the many blessings which have come to me during the thirteen years I have studied Christian Science. For the healings I have received during this time I am most grateful. Some have come about through the help of a practitioner, namely, an instantaneous healing of mumps, neuritis in the arm, and toothache. A few years ago a hardened condition of the ear was healed through my reading in the Sentinel an article entitled, "If you will hear his voice." The healing was completed the following morning without my feeling anything. A sprained ankle was healed on the third day whilst I was limping down the street. A dislocated kneecap was replaced through my declaring that in Truth there are no broken or dislocated ideas.
Whilst riding in Canada I was thrown onto my spine on the ice but suffered stiffness for only a few days. Shortly afterwards, when I was riding with the owner of the horses, they took fright and bolted at a terrific pace. He grabbed my bridle, but the bit broke away and simultaneously the saddle became loose. I was flung with great violence on my temple on the ice. The impact was awful, and for a few seconds everything seemed black, but I was able to raise myself and walk. There was no evidence of a scratch, bump, or bruise.
A sense of indistinct hearing, left from an abscessed ear, was finally healed at a Christian Science lecture. For the growth of finger tips which were trapped when I was a child I am most grateful. The fact that supply has come to me in many beautiful and unexpected ways has proved Mrs. Eddy's words, "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind" (Science and Health, p. 60), and makes me more grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for church duties, and for being able to prove Truth's healing power for others when called upon.
