On Fearless Wing

On fearless pinions let me rise—
On wings of Truth—and strong
To mount above the cruel claims
Of pride and grief and wrong,

Borne up by Love that cannot fail,
Though hate would seem to scourge,
To wound, betray, and falsify—Where mortal shadows surge.

On wings of Life that knows no death,
Unfolding through all time,
Untouched by searing rays of sun,
Or winter's blighting rime—

On fearless pinions let me rise,
Of Truth and Love and Life,
To heaven's gate and blessed peace
That knows no earth-born strife.
