This testimony is an expression of my deep gratitude to God for the healings and countless blessings experienced through Christian Science.

My wife had been in poor health. When medical aid failed to give her any relief, she felt that there must be something higher and better which could heal her. Christian Science was then presented to us by a friend, who invited us to attend a Sunday service. Although my thoughts were very unloving towards Christian Science, I reluctantly accepted and went to church. This was more than twenty years ago.

Today I rejoice for having taken that step. The unloving thoughts were eliminated from my consciousness during that service when I heard that beautiful prayer, the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation as given in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I learned then that Christian Science is a practical religion of love, giving the truth that God is all good, and that real health and peace are divinely right for everyone to enjoy, as demonstrated by our Master, Christ Jesus. In Science and Health (p. 16) Mrs. Eddy writes, "Only as we rise above all material sensuousness and sin, can we reach the heaven-born aspiration and spiritual consciousness, which is indicated in the Lord's Prayer and which instantaneously heals the sick."
