Many years ago Christian Science came to me at a time of great need. It healed me of sickness and discouragement and gave me a God of love, a God whom I am learning to understand. During the years in which I have been studying this Science I have experienced and witnessed many instances of Christian Science healing, and for these I am very grateful. One healing stands out as very sacred. At that time there was discord in my home and much talk of a neighbor who had had a stroke, and was under medical treatment. One day I suddenly realized that I could not use my right leg. Then my right hand became useless, and, lastly, I could not speak distinctly. A friend telephoned to a practitioner at a distance, and faithful work was done. In less than a week I began to use my hands and feet and to speak distinctly.

As the years go on my gratitude to God for some understanding of Christian Science increases more and more. I am grateful for our Leader's faithful, loving life, and that she has given this religion to the world to meet humanity's need. I am grateful for class teaching, for our church services, for the lectures, for our literature, for the faithful practitioners, and for every activity of the Christian Science movement.—(Mrs.)Laura Whitelock, Richmond, Natal, South Africa.
