I should like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the blessing which Christian Science has been to me. I am one of those fortunate individuals who, as a youth, had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School.

About twenty years ago my family was forced to turn to Christian Science as a last resort when the doctors had about decided that there was no more hope for me. Through the aid of a practitioner I was healed within a few days of the last stages of pneumonia.

For the next six or seven years, until I entered college in a distant town, I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. During this period I had many healings, one of the most outstanding of which was of tonsillitis. I had been out of town for a few days visiting, and upon my return I called a practitioner for assistance. Between noon and evening my throat was completely healed, and I ate an entire dinner for the first time in several days.

For a period of twelve years, after entering college, I seemed to lose sight of Christian Science and of the blessings it had brought. However, at the end of that time I was led back to it. Since then good things have come into my life in a steady stream. I am particularly grateful for the original foundation obtained in the Sunday school, because it seemed as though I could pick up the study of Christian Science right at the point where I had left off. An important healing was that of the smoking habit. For almost twelve years I had smoked daily, but about three years ago this healing was instantaneously and completely accomplished with a practitioner's assistance.

I am especially grateful for the harmony and progress that have come to me in my business in these so-called trying times. The knowledge that our only real business is God's business, and that activity is infinite, is a wonderful blessing. It has meant greater income and much more harmonious associations for me.

More than anything else I am grateful for the privilege of participating in various church activities. If there is any one thing that has resulted in the elevation of my consciousness it has been the work of ushering, teaching in the Sunday school, and other church tasks. The metaphysical research required in performing these functions not only helps others but has had an immeasurable influence upon my own growth in Science, with its resultant blessings of harmony and happiness.
