Words fail to express my gratitude for the many blessings and healings I have experienced since taking up the study of Christian Science.

A few years ago my wife had an operation which was not successful. A little later there was another, also ineffectual. Her suffering was most severe. One night I awakened to find her in agony, and the remedies I applied did not seem to have any effect. Suddenly I remembered that many years before my mother had said, "Some day when you are at a loss to know what to do, turn to God for guidance; He will help you and direct your path." I was not religiously inclined; my church did not seem to satisfy me, for it taught me of a God of wrath, not a God of love; therefore I felt skeptical. However, I listened to the "still small voice" and prayed to the best of my ability, and I noticed a remarkable change for the better in her condition, although it was of short duration.
