For many years I have received wonderful blessings which the earnest study and application of Christian Science bring into one's life. From my early study of the textbook I was healed of chronic colds and coughs and of almost continual cold sores, or fever blisters as they are sometimes called, which caused much discomfort; also of female trouble, with its attendant ills, which I had experienced for many years. These difficulties simply disappeared from my consciousness so naturally that it was some time before I realized that I was free. Influenza was overcome by my own understanding of this wonderful truth; also a seriously sprained ankle was quickly healed when I realized that there are no accidents in divine Mind.

Another healing seemed very remarkable, since the condition healed was caused by an accident that had occurred many years before I began the study of Christian Science. I fell from a hammock very forcibly onto a hard substance, striking on my chest, which was broken in and caused me great suffering at times. This condition had continued for so long that I had practically forgotten what it was to have a normal figure. After I had been studying Christian Science for a number of years the bones of my chest rose to their normal position and I experienced a complete healing. This occurred more than twenty years ago.

I have also been healed of a very troublesome throat difficulty of long standing. This was accomplished through the help of practitioners. I am positive that if it were not for the healing efficacy of Christian Science I should not be here to tell the story of my healings, as well as of the spiritual uplifting that comes to one who faithfully obeys and applies the rules of Christian Science as given us by Mary Baker Eddy in Science and Health and her other writings. One of the things for which I am most grateful is that Christian Science teaches us that we can go direct to God, our Father-Mother, and work out our salvation "in the secret place of the most High," since He is "no respecter of persons." I sincerely thank God for Mrs. Eddy's gift to the world. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for class instruction, and for all the other Christian Science activities, including the lectures, the periodicals, and the work of the Board of Directors.—(Mrs.) Margaret A.
