We read in the Preface to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Every day is God's day, and this fact has been proved to me so many times during the last sixteen years that I should like to tell of some of the blessings.

When I first consented to read Science and Health I did so in order to help a dear one, apparently in great need. Not knowing anything about it, and being very proud of what I termed my strong human will, I did not think it would ever meet my needs. I soon learned my mistake. I found that human will was my weakness. Today I want none of it! God's will is unchanging, always right, whereas human will is always selfish and erroneous. I could not understand why God was called Father, when a mother is the highest concept of unselfishness that we humanly know. A practitioner explained that Christian Science teaches that God is our Father-Mother, divine Love. This I gratefully accepted, and hungrily sought the truth for myself.

A condition of the feet, which had previously been diagnosed by a reputable orthopedic specialist as a very interesting case, necessitating that each foot be encased in a plaster cast and that all shoes in use be discarded—others, with steel braces inserted in each, to be made by a shoe specialist. The condition was happily healed through the work of a practitioner; also heartburn, for which I had taken medicine, and many erroneous traits of character were overcome at this time.
