When I first became interested in Christian Science it was in the hope of gaining relief from a muscular heart disease. Having lived in a small town all my life where little was heard of Christian Science, I knew nothing of its teachings and consequently had no faith in it. But after moving to this city, I consented to try it as a favor to my husband, who had heard of various healings through this Science from the men with whom he was associated in his line of work. Having no idea what a treatment would be, my first thought on applying to a practitioner for help was that in justice to all I should be obedient to whatever was required of me. I shall never cease to be grateful for the feeling of relief and joy I had as I left the office of the practitioner that first day.

This healing was not instantaneous, but during the first few weeks of study many other discordant conditions, such as chronic stomach trouble, sore throat, and a corn, disappeared. I am truly grateful for these healings and many others, also for membership in The Mother Church and a local branch church, for the Christian Science literature and lectures, and for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school.—(Mrs.) Elsie Genereux, Flint, Michigan.
