I give this testimony in gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the understanding and application of Christian Science. At first I was reluctant to read Science and Health, but eventually I yielded. At this period I was suffering from nervous strain and sleeplessness brought about by financial difficulties, unemployment, and illness. During the reading of the textbook these began to be righted; I soon began to sleep at night and nerves were completely forgotten.

For eight years prior to my entry into Christian Science I had been suffering from an injured spine, three vertebrae of which had been dislocated in an accident. This had resulted in organic troubles, and, at the time I took up Christian Science, acute constipation. One reading of the textbook was sufficient to overcome the organic difficulties, and I have had no recourse to medicine since. Shortly after this I was offered a position, and since then I have looked to God as the source of all supply, and my every need has been met.

After I had studied Christian Science for about twelve months my spine began to trouble me, so I asked aid from a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly worked for me, and during the night I was awakened by feeling the vertebrae slip into their correct position. Within two or three days all trace of pain left me and the trouble has never returned. I am very grateful for this healing, as the numerous doctors who attended me at various times had assured me that the spine could not be straightened. Truly, as Jesus said, "ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
