I am deeply grateful for Christian Science, which found me in a very serious predicament resulting from an automobile accident, and with serious charges against me. A great sense of fear prevailed, and I asked for help in Christian Science, which was lovingly given me. The work was taken up to bring out the truth, and after many trials all obstacles were wiped away and it was proved that "Love is the liberator" (Science and Health, p. 225).

During this period financial obligations of several thousand dollars had to be met. The necessary money was obtained at a time when to human sense it seemed hard to get, especially without ironclad collateral. I had none materially, but found that the spiritual collateral I had obtained by enlisting God's aid was far more secure and effective. All obligations were met and the money is steadily being returned, proving that "in the scientific relation of God to man, we find that whatever blesses one blesses all" (ibid., p. 206). I was told that all these seeming trials would prove to be great blessings. This was hard to realize at the time, but I have since learned the truth of this statement. Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have been healed of sick headaches and constipation, and an appetite for liquor and tobacco has been completely overcome. An increasing understanding of life as spiritual has eliminated immoral traits of character and is making life more worth while. Many things I sought in a material way before coming into Science have unfolded to me naturally since studying this wonderful truth.

I am sincerely grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her consecrated life, which has brought happiness to so many, and to the practitioner and friends who helped me through a most trying experience. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for the privilege of serving in a branch church, and for class instruction.
