The triennial Normal Class of the Christian Science Board of Education was held early in December. According to the Church Manual provision in Article XXX, Section 1, the Class convenes in every third year on the first Wednesday of December. The teacher of the 1934 Class was Mr. George Shaw Cook, C. S. B., of Chicago, Illinois, well known as a worker in the Christian Science movement. For more than ten years Mr. Cook was a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship. During a three-year term he was First Reader of The Mother Church in Boston.

The pupils in the Class came from countries abroad and from many states of the United States, as follows: California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas; Canada, England, Holand, Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland.
