I came into Christian Science for healing about ten years ago. At that time I was in great pain, and although I was wearing an instrument internally I got no relief. In about three months I was healed of pain with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, but the healing of nervousness took much longer. Only those who have been under this bondage can realize the joy of the healing.

After I had studied Christian Science for about a year, the instrument I was wearing collapsed. This was wonderful because it was made of steel and covered with rubber. However, the practitioner told me I was ready to do without the support—and I was. Since then I have had my third baby under Christian Science treatment, and experienced very little pain. Christian Science is a great help to a mother, as mother-love so often seems bound up with fear. I realize that this fear is only ignorance of our Father-Mother God, and as I gain more understanding I am learning to trust more to God, who is Love.
