When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, Peter cried out, "Bid me come unto thee on the water," and Jesus said, "Come"; and Peter actually stepped out and walked on the water. What a depth of meaning and of power Jesus could put into a single word! But Peter got frightened when he thought of his surroundings, and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me." So Jesus held out his hand and lifted him up.
