Swindon Evening Advertiser

Your issue of April 9 contained a reference to a letter by a rector in his April parish magazine. Many of your readers will find themselves in agreement with much of what the rector is reported to have written. His reference to Christian Science shows, however, that he has failed to apprehend the divine basis on which the teachings of Christian Science rest, and their Christian and scientific nature.

On page 21 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mary Baker Eddy writes, "As the ages advance in spirituality, Christian Science will be seen to depart from the trend of other Christian denominations in no wise except by increase of spirituality." Christian Science is today being understood and accepted by people in all walks of life, and its association in public thought with non-Christian systems is becoming a thing of the past.
