The letter to the editor in No. 30, of February 5, 1934, contains misleading statements about Christian Science.

Christian Science is founded on Jesus' words: "Heal the sick;" and, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." Christian Science, therefore, follows the teachings of Christ Jesus and is pure Christianity. It teaches that ignorance of and disobedience to the divine law which Jesus taught are the causes of all the distress and sorrow in the world; while simple and natural obedience to God's law in daily life brings deliverance from sickness and sin as Jesus has taught and demonstrated, and as Christian Science is proving again today in innumerable cases.

Prayer cannot change the law of God, but the fervent longing to know and to do God's will brings to men the blessings imparted by God's law, which, according to the Scriptures, is eternal life, infinite wisdom and love.

Christian Scientists hold strictly to the state law and report contagious diseases to the medical office.
