Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder of Christian Science, writes that angels are "pure thoughts from God, winged with Truth and Love" [Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 298].

Most of us will remember the Old Testament story of Jacob and the angels. He saw in a dream the vision of a ladder whose top "reached to heaven," and he saw "the angels of God ascending and descending on it."
