I wish to testify briefly to the healing efficacy of Christian Science; to express my gratitude for Mrs. Eddy, and for the privilege of supporting The Mother Church and its branch activities. Since taking up this study the desire for cigarettes, liquor, tea, and coffee has left me completely; and the use of profanity and other vices have been overcome as well. Through the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was also healed of epilepsy, which was pronounced incurable by the medical doctors at the time I was serving in the United States Marine Corps. Science has done what materia medica and modern orthodoxy had failed to do for me, namely heal sickness and sin. Although I certainly appreciate the unselfish efforts of the kind doctors and the courtesy of the orthodox church, of which I was once a member, I can never be grateful enough to Christian Science for what it has done for me after everything else had failed.—John H.
