Pondering Christian Science

Is this the truth? Is this the Comforter?
Is this the living message come again?
Is this the Word made manifest in life?
Is this the law of God revealed to men?

Is this the glory which the prophets saw?
Is this the harmony the Saviour knew?
Is this the mystery of life in Soul?
Is this the peace of Love, Mind's solace true?

Is this a woman's idealizing theme?
Is this a human doctrine, strengthless, frail?
Is this life's highest wisdom, God with man,
'Gainst which the gates of hell shall not prevail?

Since by its fruit a tree is surely known,
Judged by its fruits, an angel from God's throne!
