It is with great gratitude that I testify to the good that has come to me and mine through the teachings of Christian Science. In 1917 I saw my husband healed, and asked what Christian Science is. A dear friend told me a little of its teachings, and I realized through this conversation that I had been led to Christian Science in answer to my prayer to God for the right religion. There had seemed to me so many religious denominations that I wondered how one could know which to follow, and I asked God to reveal the true one to me. As already stated, I knew Christian Science to be the truth. Soon after taking up the study of the Lesson-Sermons from the Christian Science Quarterly, as we were asked to do by this dear friend, I was permanently healed of asthma in one Christian Science treatment. Since I found this true way every problem has been solved, whether financial, physical, or moral, when I have abided faithfully by that which our Leader has revealed to us.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who helps in any way to spread this truth in the world. I thank our Father-Mother God for Mary Baker Eddy, who listened to His word and with great courage gave us this truth in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I thank the loyal Board of Directors of The Mother Church for the work they so faithfully perform. I am profoundly grateful for all the Christian Science literature, for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction.—(Mrs.) Evelyn McMaster, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
I wish to indorse every word of my wife's testimony and to say how grateful I am for what Christian Science has done for me. After exhausting the skill of doctors and specialists and undergoing many years of treatment in sanatoriums in the hope of effecting a cure for phthisis, I finally lay in bed in despair, drifting, it seemed to me, towards the grave. The conviction was borne in upon me that no further help was to be expected from any material source or by any material means; and at this point Christian Science was presented to me by a loving friend. With the help of a loyal and faithful practitioner I was completely and permanently restored to health within one week.
