It is with a desire to express gratitude for the many proofs of God's care that I give this testimony. The fact that our Father-Mother God is an ever present help and that He is omnipotent has been demonstrated many times in our family for the past twenty years. Thankfulness for the Christian Science Sunday School is forthcoming, for it was here that my brother, sister, and I were led to plant our feet "in the true path" (Science and Health, p. 454), that path which has surely opened to us an understanding of the divine source of unlimited power, health, strength, and happiness.

At first our problems, such as colds, sprained ankles, stomach trouble, headaches, scarlet fever, mumps, and chicken pox, were overcome through the loving aid of a practitioner; and proportionately as we have grown in the understanding of God we have been able to prove for ourselves that the Word of God heals. While I was away at college, all traces of influenza were destroyed by reading our textbook for one hour. During the same school period I was able through Christian Science to destroy the fear of taking examinations. Also the fear of public speaking or giving testimonies at the Wednesday evening meetings was destroyed.

Not all of my healings were accomplished at once; some of them took years until all traces of the erroneous conditions disappeared. One of these was a case of kidney trouble which was believed to be hereditary. For many years I had help from a practitioner and studied daily myself, but it was not until I understoood that man is the Spirit, not of matter, that the healing was accomplished. For many years I was also troubled with boils. Through study of the Bible and the writings of our revered Leader, and with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, this trouble was overcome, and there has been no return for nine years.
