Over five years ago a friend brought Christian Science to my attention as I was a very unhappy woman, but ever since I learned to know this Science I have had the great joy of several healings. I was healed of neuritis and rheumatism by reading Science and Health. I was also healed of lumbago with the help of a practitioner. About three years ago I had a beautiful healing of a very discordant condition through reading these lines in the textbook (p. 473): "The God-principle is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power." It came to me that as God is all-power there is no room for discord, and I was healed. The Bible was a closed book to me, but since knowing of Christian Science it has been everything to me.

The Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly are helping me to work out my salvation. I was protected from an accident by knowing the truth that God is my Life and by this verse from II Samuel, "God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect." I am indeed grateful for these healings, but most of all for the peace and love this Science has brought into my life. I am glad to say that I possess all of Mrs. Eddy's works. I am also grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for the opportunity to serve as an usher, and for the literature from the Publishing House. I can never be thankful enough to God, the Giver of all good, to Christ Jesus our Way-Shower, and to our beloved Leader for giving us our wonderful textbook.
