It is impossible to enumerate all the blessings that have...
It is impossible to enumerate all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. My gratitude is unbounded, and I wish to share some of my experiences with others. Many years ago my mother was healed of tonsillitis in such an aggravated form that she had been unable to speak for periods of from ten days to two weeks. After this healing she took up the earnest study of the Bible in conjunction with the Christian Science textbook. I was sent to a Christian Science Sunday School, and as the truth taught there continues to unfold in my consciousness I am realizing more and more what a privilege it was.
There have been many healings in our family, among them those of scarlet fever, influenza, and broken bones. As the result of an accident my father, who was not interested in Christian Science, had a severe case of blood poisoning, and was told by the physician that nothing further could be done for him. He was asked to have a practitioner and consented in order to please the family, as he felt that he was in a hopeless condition. There was a complete healing in about ten days.
While serving as Second Reader in a branch church I had an acute attack of illness while at the desk. I realized that I must not accept the suggestions of illness that were clamoring for expression and began to declare the truth. In a few moments I was entirely free and harmonious, and there has never been a return of any of the symptoms. I can never express my gratitude for this instantaneous proof of the protective power of the Christ, Truth, which guided me triumphantly through this experience. I am grateful that the work of our beloved Leader is being recognized, and that the knowledge of God, as taught through Christian Science, is encircling the globe.
