It seems necessary for me to trespass on your kindness...
Advocate
It seems necessary for me to trespass on your kindness again in order to support my statements made ten days ago in your paper.
Although appreciating the kindly nature of Elishama's criticism of my last letter, I must maintain my former attitude, for I know that the reasoning contained in my last letter is scientifically correct; and I say this because its results have been proved in the experience of thousands, and are being proved by increasing numbers today, as can be ascertained by consulting the testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel each month and week respectively, and listening to those given at the testimony meetings held every Wednesday in Christian Science churches.
Christian Science can never be grasped through newspaper discussions. The only way to understand any scientific teaching is to study its textbooks with an open mind, and then put what is learned into practice; and this is the only way to understand Christian Science.
