I should like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.

In 1928 I became ill with severe inflammation of the veins and was quite stiff for a period of six months. My attention was called to Christian Science, but I thought it could not help me, for I heard that it did not prescribe or advocate the use of any material remedies or things of that sort. At each visit the physicians stated that my trouble had grown worse, so I decided to go to my friends and have someone explain Christian Science to me. Meanwhile I had to wear special bandages constantly on both legs. My friends immediately gave me the address of a practitioner in the neighborhood, who at once helped me. Severe heart trouble disappeared instantly after the first treatment. Although I had not been able to walk without a cane, after two weeks of daily treatment I had so far recovered that I no longer needed the cane and the bandages. This healing took place five years ago and has been permanent. Since that time I have also been able to use the sewing machine again.

Through the understanding that God is my Life, I am enjoying excellent health. God is the only physician for our entire family, and He never fails. On the contrary, I have learned that God has already given me everything, before I ask.
