Dear God, I Thank Thee

[Written Especially for the Little Children]

Dear God, I thank Thee for the sun
This happy day,
I thank Thee for the fragrance sweet
Of flowers so gay.

I thank Thee for Thy creatures, Lord,
Both great and small,
And for Thy wondrous tenderness
In guarding all.

Dear God, I thank Thee for Thy love
Surrounding me;
May all my life be just a song
Of praise to Thee.
