I am one of the many who are happy to express gratitude...
I am one of the many who are happy to express gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has accomplished for me and others and will accomplish for all who will listen to this promised Comforter.
After many years of suffering, being continually under the care of specialists and physicians, and undergoing many operations, I took up this study entirely for healing. Nine years ago, when faced with the prospect of having to undergo another operation, and feeling I could not endure it, I turned to Christian Science and was completely healed. This healing was not accomplished immediately, but after several months of patient work by a practitioner the attacks of pain became less frequent and less severe until they finally melted away into nothingness. Many times the way seemed hard, and discouragement would try to creep in; nevertheless, the statement, "Divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object" (Science and Health, p. 304), was proved true.
Also, I have been healed of the need of wearing glasses after using them for over twenty years, and being told by eye specialists in four different countries that I should always have to wear them. This healing was accomplished through my own work, and I am sincerely grateful. On page 449 of the textbook Mrs. Eddy says that "a grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth," and this is being proved daily.
