I have studied Christian Science for a period of about twenty years, and it has blessed me a great many times in a number of different ways. In my experience this truth has been an ever present help during college years, through a time of business experience, and in the teaching profession. Through its ministrations I have received physical healings of granulated eyelids, blood poisoning, and rupture. Christian Science certainly demonstrates that "the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear." Repeated proofs have been given to me that Science increases endurance. When fellow workers prophesied a breakdown, I realized renewed strength. Thus, this Science of Spirit is preventive as well as curative.
The regular study of the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly furnished beautiful unfoldment of God's law. Christian Science is teaching and demonstrating the supreme Father-Mother Love. For years in the Christian Science Sunday School both as student and teacher I am indeed thankful. In addition I should like to express my thanks for the authorized literature, the Reading Rooms, and college Christian Science organizations. It has been my joy to be an active member in three college organizations at different times, and always such activity has meant beautiful friendships as well as satisfaction in contributing to the Cause. The daily contemplation of and obedience to "A Rule for Motives and Acts" (Manual of The Mother Church, Art. VIII, Sect. 1) has protected me from injury in automobile accidents, friction with associates, and other discords. I wish especially to declare my gratitude for the Benevolent Associations with their host of associates, who are like so many good Samaritans, and for the privilege of class instruction.
