It is with a heart filled with sincere gratitude that I write...

It is with a heart filled with sincere gratitude that I write this testimony. After returning from service with the army in France in 1918 I was troubled with severe headaches caused, according to army medical officers, by my being gassed twice at the front. It seemed as if I had these headaches continually. I was not free from this trouble until about three years ago, when I was healed through the study and application of Christian Science. I am indeed grateful for this wonderful healing.

I am also grateful for a healing of the tobacco habit which took place at a Christian Science lecture some time ago. I have had no desire whatsoever to smoke since then.

I am sincerely thankful to our revered Leader for giving us this wonderful truth that makes men free. I am striving daily to learn more of this truth, and my prayer is that my life may be one of gratitude. I am very grateful for having been admitted to membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.
