God's Tender Care

Do false beliefs of fear, distress,
Close in about,
And evidence of lack and death
Cause you to doubt?

Then hope and courage take, dear heart,
For just at hand
God's power, omnipotence, is here
To loose each band.

His tender care is very near,
When problems press;
And thought raised up in earnest prayer
Brings happiness.

Unloose the shoes upon thy feet,
Tread holy ground.
Reverse these fables and behold
Love all around.
