I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. From childhood I studied the Bible, but never gained the understanding that I wanted. I had never seen anybody healed through the truth till I came into Christian Science. I suffered for years with my head and eyes, and life did not seem worth living, for the doctors did not know what the trouble was. So in 1926 I turned to Christian Science. On page 1 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy are the words, "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires." These lines helped me to know that God could heal my eyes. After studying for a while I laid off my glasses, which I had worn for fifteen years, and my eyes are now entirely normal.

Our little boy when three years old caught his arm in the electric wringer and four of us were needed to get it out. A friend called a Christian Science practitioner for help. This was at ten o'clock in the morning. That night the boy went to a carnival and rode on the merry-go-round. There were no broken bones or bruises. Another time this same child broke his wrist. I called a practitioner for help while his father took him to the army hospital to have the arm set. When the X-ray was taken, the doctors exclaimed at the way the bones were set.

Another son became very sick and delirious with convulsions, and was unable to recognize anyone. My husband was frightened and called a doctor, who found that the boy had a very high temperature. While my husband accompanied the doctor to the hospital for some remedies, I called for help in Christian Science, and when he returned the child was conscious and smiled at him. This was on Sunday. That night the doctor called and found that the boy was getting along splendidly. On the following Thursday he came to see the boy again and found him healed. He realized that he had done nothing for the child, and said to me, "I hear you are a Christian Scientist."
