Christian Science is the greatest blessing that ever came...
Christian Science is the greatest blessing that ever came into my life. I had a dear friend who was a Christian Scientist, and I always felt that there was something very different and glorious about her which I did not have. One day while with her I started to cry and tell all of my troubles. She was very patient with me, and told me some of the truths we find in Christian Science. I was in desperate need, both physically and mentally, having been in the hospital three times; and my home life was not a pleasant one. The next day after being with this friend, I purchased the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and words fail me when I try to tell the joy and happiness I found in my first reading. I then began to study very earnestly. There was a cross to be taken up which, at times, seemed heavy to bear; but with continual steadfastness and perseverance in the truth, turning wholly to God, I was brought through many deep waters, and each discordant condition was finallly vanquished.
The Christian Science literature has also been a great blessing to me, and it is a joy to have so wonderful a newspaper as The Christian Science Monitor come into my home each day. I am so grateful for the understanding I have gained of God and of the Scriptures through the study of Christian Science. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the privilege this gives me of taking part in the activities of so great a Cause, and for class instruction. I cannot close without expressing my deep gratitude for our dear Leader.
