The Lectures

WESTON-SUPER-MARE, ENGLAND (First Church).

Lecturer: Arthur P. DeCamp; introduced by Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Benson, who said:—

A Christian Science lecture is a joyful occasion, where we meet to hear about God and man's true relationship to Him, and learn whereby men can gain freedom, the freedom bestowed by our heavenly Father, omnipotent God, good, ever present to bless, to heal, and to deliver from ills of whatever name or nature. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this new-old truth, writes in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 227): "Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free! This is your divine right. The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being."
