Abundant Good at Hand
THE question of supply is of more than passing interest to mankind because it involves one's daily living experience. At the present moment it engages attention in increasing measure on account of a general acceptance of the belief that the world's economic system is temporarily shattered.
Christian Science alone gives the answer to this question of supply. It declares that the supply of good is ever present and available to each one, since God, the source of all reality, is ever present. To understand and utilize this fact is to find one's self supplied, whatever the need may be. Failing to understand and utilize it leaves one still in a fog of unbelief which evidences itself in a sense of lack. To believe that lack is a true condition is in a measure to disbelieve in the loving Father-Mother God, whose province is to put forth continuously and constantly His own infinite and good ideas.
Material sense would make it appear that man lives materially and is dependent upon matter for his living; but Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 76) that "man is immortal and lives by divine authority."Also, she says (ibid., p. 206) : "In the scientific relation of God to man, we find that whatever blesses one blesses all, . . . Spirit, not matter, being the source of supply." Man, therefore, is not dependent upon anything but God, Soul, for his life and all that pertains to it.
