I should like to express my deep gratitude for all the...
I should like to express my deep gratitude for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science. My first knowledge of Christian Science came to me when I received a most wonderful healing. I was suffering from a severe growth known as a fibrous tumor, which gave me great pain and rendered me almost helpless, as I was unable to move my arms without intense agony. Just at the time when an operation seemed imperative a dear friend told me about Christian Science. I was very much interested in what I was told and said that if it was possible for others to be healed, I too could be. I decided to learn more about this wonderful truth, so an appointment was made to see a practitioner, who most lovingly and graciously gave the help asked for. After the first treatment all pain vanished, and the arms could be used in the normal way without any inconvenience. In six weeks the healing was complete, and it has been permanent. Since then, over fifteen years ago, I have been healed of many discordant conditions, including chronic hemorrhoids, severe headaches, and influenza.
I wish to express my love for the Christian Science periodicals, especially the Sentinel, also for the many lectures it has been my privilege to hear. I am grateful to God, the source of all good, and for our beloved Leader, who gave to the world this great truth. My gratitude is also extended to the practitioners who have so patiently helped me with many problems.—(Mrs.) Grace Coad, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
For many years Christian Science has been my only physician. My first knowledge of it came to me through the very wonderful healing which my mother received. I was much interested in what I saw, and a great desire came to me to know more of this wonderful truth which could free us from all our diseases in the way and manner used by Jesus and his followers in the beginning of the Christian era. I began to study the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and to attend the services. Although not seeking a healing, during this study I was completely healed of stammering, a condition to which I had been subject since childhood. To me this was very wonderful, because I had been told by several doctors that I should always suffer this discomfiture. Since then I have had many healings, including a complete overcoming—with the help of a practitioner—of a severe cough which manifested itself every winter. I had always been told that this was hereditary and that I would have it every winter. For this healing I am extremely grateful.
