A Christian
A Christian
is the one who tries
To walk where Jesus led,
Who knows that he must sacrifice
If men be comforted;
Who loves when men indulge in hate;
Who gives when they withhold;
Who serves, but keeps his high estate;
Who prays when scorn is bold;
Who says to troubled seas, "Be still,"
On every Galilee;
Who has forgiveness and good will
As far as Calvary;
Who feeds the hungry with that bread
Which will sustain and save;
And who brings forth the hopeless dead
From out a man-made grave.
