As I look back over the many years during which Christian Science has sustained and comforted me, there comes to me a deep desire to bear witness to the healing ministry of this practical religion.
During these times of stress, while the world is proceeding through its change of thinking from the material to the spiritual, it is always inspiring and encouraging to each one of us who is called upon daily to prove the unfailing operation of the law of God, good, to return to earlier experiences and share with others the richness of blessings received.
Christian Science came to me when I was a girl, at a time when higher human education had left me without hope and faith. I had withdrawn membership from an orthodox church because I had failed to find God there, and as a consequence I was drifting, looking for happiness in a superficial social life. There came a time when this artificiality ceased to satisfy; and, though I had heard nothing but derision of Christian Science all my life, it was so beautifully presented to me by one whose worldly affairs I knew to be in chaos and who was being sustained in calm and serenity through a severe trial, that I knew God was understandable and available, and that such knowledge of Him was immeasurably comforting.
