I am grateful for all the blessings I have had through Christian Science, as revealed by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. When I was a year old, we were all saved from a forest fire through my mother's knowing the ever-presence of God and His protection. At the age of three years I was protected from black diphtheria. When about twelve years of age I began taking an interest in studying the Word of God. It seems that I was always being led by God. My uncle, who was a member of a Christian Science church, read to me, and I saw some good examples in his life. God's care was again shown when my brother, my sister, and I were placed in good homes after our parents passed on. After a few years I was taken ill with mastoiditis, and a specialist said that I could not live a week, but I felt the presence of God and His protection. After a few treatments from a Christian Science practitioner, and with my own understanding of the allness of God, my healing was complete. Again, I was healed in one treatment of something that stopped my hearing in one ear. I had been doing a lot of swimming under water when this occurred.

I am grateful to God for good employment and for my health. I have lost very little time from work. I cannot count my blessings, they are so many. All I ask is growth in grace, understanding, and brotherly love for mankind.

I am grateful for the fine Christian Science lectures that I have heard. In God I put my trust always. I was saved from blood poisoning when going to school, as I had a lead bullet in my foot for a week before it came out. Through the protection of God, it was not serious.
