"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Many times I have had the privilege of proving the "strength" and "present help" of divine Love in the three or four years that I have been a student of Christian Science. This truth was presented to me at a time of very great need, as I was in a tuberculosis sanitarium at the time. I had never heard of Christian Science before, and when told it would heal me of this disease I did not question it, but began eagerly to study, although I could not understand it at first. In less than three months I returned home healed of this condition. I shall never cease to be grateful to the practitioner who was so loving and patient at that time.

Chronic constipation and the tendency to take cold very easily, especially during the winter months, and grief have also yielded to the power of Truth. Christian Science is helping me to overcome many false traits of character, such as pride, envy, and impatience; I am also learning to know the joy of being more loving and forgiving.

I am grateful for the periodicals; they are the means of bringing many blessings to humanity. Our son and daughter enjoy particularly the testimonies and the articles in the Sentinel written especially for young people. They have the privilege of attending the Sunday school, and are very grateful for the demonstrations they have made in their school work by knowing the ever-presence of infinite intelligence. To see the children grow in understanding and grasp the truth so quickly is indeed very gratifying.
