Lecturer: Robert Stanley Ross; introduced by Mrs. Lorna K. Tompkins, who said:—

My first acquaintance with Christian Science came through a friend to whom I became attracted because of her joyousness. I felt that I must know the reason for it. She told me that she was happy because of Christian Science; because of what it was doing for her and for the world. Christian Science is essentially a joyous religion. Mrs. Eddy says on page 304 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" that "joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy." We also read in the Bible, in the Gospel of John, these words of Jesus: "Your joy no man taketh from you." Much joy and happiness have been mine through Christian Science, as well as many physical healings, for which I am very grateful.
