"Look up"

In the twenty-fourth Psalm are these words: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." This is more than beautiful poetry. It points to the fact that we may recognize and demonstrate the government of divine Love.

If we are looking down—accepting mortal concepts—we are not conforming to the government of "the King of glory," but submitting to the reign of error. We must lift up our eyes—look beyond material and misleading concepts and see the true idea. We must understand what our beloved Leader points out in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 207): "The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things. The spiritual fact, repeated in the action of man and the whole universe, is harmonious and is the ideal of Truth." And she further says, "The opposite discord, which bears no resemblance to spirituality, is not real."

The Master in speaking of troublous times said, "Look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." We must "look up"—must see the realm of the real, the realm of perfect spiritual activity, perfect supply, perfect health, the universe wherein everything is beautiful and harmonious. We must always strive to see the spiritual facts instead of mortal concepts. Human government is sometimes good, sometimes bad; but spiritual facts involve the government of supreme wisdom, of divine Love. In God's government there is no changing administration, no doubtful or vacillating policy. His government is eternal. His children are not fearful, suspicious, or doubtful about His wisdom and His power, but all are rejoicing in His glorious plan, the plan of perfect Mind, of omnipotent Being, of the Father-Mother Love.
