The first words of the Preface to Science and Health are: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (p. vii). Through the understanding of "the sustaining infinite" I have received many blessings, and it is with a heart overflowing with love and gratitude to God that I tell of my experience since taking up the study of Christian Science.

The first healing was of an ulcerated stomach. This healing came through the realization of the truth as given on page 423 of Science and Health: "The Christian Scientist, understanding scientifically that all is Mind, commences with mental causation, the truth of being, to destroy the error. This corrective is an alterative, reaching to every part of the human system. According to Scripture, it searches 'the joints and marrow,' and it restores the harmony of man."

I was healed of apoplectic fits which were brought on through a nervous breakdown. I had been under the care of two doctors and a specialist for ever two years, taking medicine three times a day and having morphia injections. Also, influenza was healed in two days.
