In your article entitled "Faith," published in your September issue, you make reference to Christian Science in a manner which shows you are misinformed as to its teachings.

Christian Scientists have no quarrel with the medical profession, but through the teachings of Christian Science they have found the way of Christ Jesus, who healed the sick through spiritual means alone, and who enjoined his followers to do likewise.

Faith, if it be mere belief, is not sufficient to heal the sick. The healing of disease in Christian Science results from that greater faith which is based on understanding, on an absolute confidence in the presence and power of God.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 465), Mary Baker Eddy defines God thus, "Incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love."
