Any words of mine would indeed be inadequate to express...
Any words of mine would indeed be inadequate to express my heartfelt gratitude for the spiritual understanding of the Bible which the study of Christian Science has given me. Christian Science is teaching me how to apply the religion of Christ Jesus to my daily life and problems; it is teaching me how to get rid of selfish opinions, arrogance, pride; how to mind my own business; how to love God with all my heart, and my neighbor as myself. The study of Christian Science has made the Bible a new book to me and has made me a new woman, in both body and mind. I thank God for Mary Baker Eddy and for enabling her to give to the world this wonderfully spiritual and clearer understanding of His holy Word. My earnest desire is for a closer walk with God, to love Him more dearly, to have wisdom to understand Him better. I am profoundly grateful for all the help I have had from loving practitioners, for all the avenues of the Christian Science organization, and for our literature, especially the Christian Science Sentinel. I pray to be given a more faithful heart. Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 155), "While pressing meekly on, be faithful, be valiant in the Christian's warfare, and peace will crown your joy."
There have been many beautiful healings in my family. I was ordered to the hospital by medical advice as suffering from tuberculosis, but did not go. Instead I went to a Christian Science practitioner and was wonderfully healed. Bladder and eye trouble have also been healed. I am deeply grateful for all the blessings Christian Science has brought to me and mine; and I can truthfully say that divine Love meets my every need.—
(Mrs.) Frances J. Darby, Hastings, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
