The Reading Room

"He leadeth me beside the still waters."—Psalms 23:2.

Through this gracious portal
The weary, burdened heart
May leave the surge and turmoil,
And rest awhile apart.

Kind, impartial welcome
Bids all who pass this way
To share in sweet communion
A feast of truth each day.

Here perception brightens
And here green pastures be—
Green fields of God's abundance,
Serene, unspent, and free.

By still waters waiting,
Love-shepherded and healed,
I find in true reflection
The Father's son revealed.
