I, too, should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science

I, too, should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I had been in ill health for three or four years with what several doctors diagnosed as chronic appendicitis and lung trouble. I was unable to attend school and could not walk a block without becoming very tired. I had a constant dread of an operation.

In 1928 I obtained a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and asked for help from a practitioner. I was instantaneously healed of constipation, for which I was taking medicine once or twice a week. The other trouble did not yield so readily, however—not until it was pointed out to me that I should study, not for a physical healing, but for a better understanding of God. When I did this the attacks of appendicitis, which had occurred every three or four weeks, became less frequent and less severe. I was soon able to walk any distance with no sense of fatigue. A year later I returned to school.

About two months after beginning the study of Christian Science I became ill with influenza. I called the practitioner that evening and experienced immediate relief; in three days I was perfectly well.
